    Great tutorial buddy it did me justice. I always print strate to dvd or up load to internet sites. I just brought the canon xl2 and i was curious about importing to tape!

    Try to leave the clip at it’s full length but move it to another video line please be sure to lock all the other clips. Now you can change the speed with out your other clips moving. After doing so you will want to trim your clip now or simply make it a independent clip and the speed will remain that speed and then trim. I hope this helps you out. Darnell!

    Hey Edward, thanks for this video, very helpful, and i did thought it was gonna be the end of my problems with speed changing, but it was not. I’m having some issues when trying to change speed of clios in fcp 5, no matter what i try i just cannot get it done. Every time i change the speed, the clip plays another section of the clip, plays slow, stops and freeze the image (in this case the sound continues till the end of the clip, or even show another clips images….
    Please any idea. HELP. Tanx

    I am getting this message when I try to make the video slower…

    Unable to complete command. A conflict occurred during trim operation.

    But, when I make it longer it lets me do it!!!

    Any recommendations???
